The MIG-31 can achieve a speed of  Mach 2.83 Which made MIG-31 one of the fastest aircraft in the world as well. The MIG-31 is an attack and interceptor aircraft. The MIG-31 has a maximum range against fighter-sized targets is approximately 200 km, and it can track up to 10 targets and simultaneously attack four targets.

The MiG-31 was designed to fulfill the following mission objectives

  • Intercept cruise missiles and their launch aircraft by reaching missile launch range in the lowest possible time after departing the loiter area;
  • Detect and destroy low flying cruise missiles, UAVs and helicopters;
  • Long range escort of strategic bombers;
  • Provide strategic air defense in areas not covered by ground-based, air defense systems

The JF-17 Thunder is a joint production of China and Pakistan is a single-engine, lightweight multi-role fighter aircraft. The unit cost on one JF-17 fighter is $35 million.  Heaving a single RD-93 engine, the JF-17 can achieve Mach 2 speed. The JF-17 can carry 9 missiles in its wings for aerial and ground engagement.
