Which Fighter Jets have the best chance against F-22 Raptor
The F-22 Raptor is a fifth-generation, pure-bred American air superiority fighter that first flew in 1997. Four of the 187 aircraft admitted into the USAF have crashed. The majority of information on the F-22 is secret, and little is known, so all we can do is speculate.
So, these are the fighters I believe can compete with an F-22:
LOCKHEED MARTIN F-35
Obviously, the first one will be the F-22’s biological brother, which is relatively comparable to the F-22. According to General Mike Hostage, the F-35 is more stealthy than the F-22. Although none has been pitted against the other in combat exercises, the F-35 has a strong probability of defeating the F-22.
DASSAULT RAFALE
The French-made fighter comes in second place behind the F-22. Many of the replies link it to Rafale’s ability to achieve a lock on an F-22 within visual range during a practice engagement in 2009 in the UAE. But, in my opinion, this occurrence is unimportant since the F-22 is designed to engage a fighter from Beyond Visual Range without being noticed. Rafale is a worthy opponent to the F-22 due to factors such as its reduced RCS, powerful radar, avionics, and EW suite.
Chengdu J-20
Because it is a reverse-engineered replica of the F-22, the Chengdu J-20 might be viewed as a possible rival. However, because it is now run solely by China, nothing can be written about it.
