From April 5–10, 2022, in Santiago, Chile, the FIDAE 2022 Air & Trade Show included the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team of the United States Air Force. The team is stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia, and is commanded by Maj. Joshua “Cabo” Gunderson, a pilot.
The F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team’s main goal is to demonstrate the F-22 Raptor’s exceptional capabilities and skillful aerial maneuvers. The F-22 Raptor is regarded as the best fifth-generation fighter aircraft in the world. The group gives these performances at airshows all over the world.
Maj. Joshua “Cabo” Gunderson, the pilot, is one among the team’s many members. Other members include a safety officer, superintendent, team commander, several crew chiefs, avionics specialists, public affairs staff, and aircrew flight equipment technicians. Every team member is essential to effectively completing the team’s demonstrations and preserving the aircraft’s readiness.
The F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team’s involvement in FIDAE 2022 enables them to exhibit the aircraft’s capabilities and support advancing military and aviation capabilities globally.
